F.U.N. Curriculum

Formation, Unity, and North Korea

Overview

Based on the experience in North Korea, we realize that one of the main reasons for the attrition of workers there is not knowledge, but one’s formation. People give up serving in North Korea, not because of a lack of information about North Korea or projects, but because they have personal or relational issues. The Great Harvest 2027 Formations Program will address that issue by focusing on the Formation and Unity paradigm along with North Korea studies.

Formation

These courses facilitate growth personally, relationally, culturally, spiritually, and vocationally. Through self reflection and processing in community guided by the Holy Spirit, we aim to see greater self-awareness lead to deeper transformation as fellows' knowledge and experience are integrated.

Unity Paradigm

The Unity Paradigm provides a Christ-centered framework to examine the world and ministry from the perspective of God's bringing unity to everything in heaven and earth under the headship of Christ according to Ephesians 1:8-10.

North Korea Studies

North Korean studies concentrate on a deeper understanding of North Korea and the opportunities and needs therein, including issues related to living inside NK, such as history, culture, worldview, living as a single, raising a family, & food. This content is included in monthly zoom calls available to all cohorts world-wide. Fellows with a heart for other parts of the world are encouraged to view this part of the course as a case study and glean insights that may be helpful in any context.

It is my great desire that this curriculum, the mentoring relationships, and the discipleship communities that are formed through this program will provide a foundation and support system for a lifetime of ministry that overflows from within healthy, whole people.
